Spring REC

ANNOUNCEMENT: Registration  will close April 29th. Effective April 29th the schedule has been changed. 

Program Details:

Middle School Street Soccer Program (Grades 5th- 8th) 

Street Soccer will replicate the style played in the streets across Europe. It's fast, intense and fun. There will be lots of goals, great competition and most importantly, it will be a lot of fun! 

Trainers will select 3-4 teams to participate in 3v3's, 4v4's or 5v5's. They will play for an hour, in a fast and intense game environment. The Firehouse courts are located in Mendham Borough, directly next to the Mendham Borough Fire House and are part of the Mendham Borough Park. Parking is available behind the courts, limited parking is available next to the Fire House. Address is 24 East Main Street, Mendham (next to the Audi Dealership).

Trainers will work with players to be creative and comfortable with the ball. Every player on the field should be able to read the game, use a move and be confident to keep possession to create goals.  

The program will start May 4th and will run for 6 weeks. The last session will be June 10th.

Schedule Tuesdays and Thursdays:

5/67/8 grade girls 7-8pm
5/6/7/8 grade boys 7-8 pm

Minimum number of players needed for each age group is 12.  Registration will be closed at 25 players per age group.  The cost of registration will include a pinnie and a WMSC t-shirt. There are no uniforms for this program.

Shin guards and cleats are required. Jewelry is not permitted. Face masks and physical distancing are required for the sidelines.

Players and spectators are expected to adhere to COVID-19 precautions.

Registrations after April 17th are subject to a $25 late fee.

Spring Rec (PreK- 4th Grade)

The spring recreation soccer program will be held on a grass fields in Mendham: Your event reminder will include the location.

- Botti Field 4 Westfield Road, Mendham (formerly known as West Field). This is right off of Rt 24 in the Borough. 

- India Brook Field 97 Ironia Road, Mendham NJ 07945. This is near the Randolph Animal Shelter, it is not the India Brook Park on Mountainside.

Trainers will work with players to be creative and comfortable with the ball. Sessions will include warm up, skills, drills and then game play.  Depending on the number of players registered, we may organize players into pre-set groups. Official teams are not formed in the spring program.

The program will start May 4rd  and will run for 6 weeks. The last session will be June 10th.

Pre K (Boys and Girls)  4.30-5.30pm - Indian Brook

Kindergarten Boys  4.30-5.30pm - Botti Fields

Kindergarten Girls  4.30-5.30pm - Botti Fields

1st/2nd Grade Boys  6:00-7:00 pm Indian Brook

1st/2nd Grade Girls  6:00-7:00 pm Indian Brook

3rd/4th Grade Boys  5:45 -6:45 Botti Fields

3rd/4th Grade Girls  5.45-6.45pm Botti Fields

COVID-19

Arrive 5 minutes early, so that  players can  complete temperature checks.

Registered players will receive email reminders for each session. (The events are all labeled as "practice" in the system for technical reasons.)
 
Players must have a mask to enter the field and then proceed to their designated meeting area. COVID forms will be collected, attendance taken and temperatures will be taken. At that point, players will be regrouped into their age groups and broken down into play groups. The player/trainer ration will be approximately 1:10 but may vary in some sessions due to player turn out. 

If you review the rooster on- line under your account, you are only able to see the players in your player's grade. If you player is in an age group where there is more than one grade, you will not be able to see the other grades.

Players must bring a completed COVID-19 Waiver to their first session. Please print and bring with you to the field. We will have extras at the field. 

Players and spectators are expected to adhere to COVID-19 precautions. Please do not bring any players or spectators with any COVID-19 related symptoms or if they have been exposed or expected to be in quarantine. All families are expected to adhere to the state and local guidelines for COVID-19.
