Pre Travel Program

2018 and 2019 birth years only

Our Pre Travel Program exists to ease the transition from Rec to Travel for our youngest players. The WMSC Pre-Travel program is designed for REC players that are interested in enhancing that experience and preparing them for future Travel Soccer participation.


The program will add to the foundation that has been built in REC with a focus on ball skills, small sided games, 4v4 mini-festivals, and most importantly, FUN! The focus is on player development, and the team is NOT entered into a local league. Pre Travel teams are led by dedicated, professional trainers from our training affiliate, Kickz Soccer.

Here's what to expect in preparing players for more competitive play in Pre Travel:

  • The focus is on player development, and the team is NOT entered into a local league.

  • Spring: Players participate for 10 weeks, with two 60 minute practice sessions per week. Practices will run from early-April through mid-June. There are no practices the week immediately following Memorial Day.

  • Fall: Players participate for 10 weeks, with two 60 minute practices per week. Practices run from the first Monday in September post Labor day through mid-November.

  • Players will compete in 6 to 8 mini-tournaments on Saturday every other week. Dates, locations, and times are TBD based on team size and availability.

  • All Pre Travel teams are led by dedicated, professional trainers from our training affiliate, Kickz Soccer.

  • Players who move on to our Travel program from Pre-travel will receive a full credit of their fees paid applied towards their travel fees.

Tentative Schedule

The Spring 2026 pre-travel program will practice at Mendham Ralston Fields alongside our Travel Teams, from April 6th - June 20th. There are no practices the week immediately following Memorial Day. Players will compete in 6 to 8 mini-tournaments on Saturdays.

5:00 to 6:00 - Pre-Travel Boys
6:00 to 7:00 - Pre-Travel Girls

Cost of the program: $285 per player

Late registrations are subject to a $25 late fee.
