We know that this Spring has been tough on everyone, but it has been especially hard on our kids as the things they love have been closed, canceled, or postponed indefinitely. To that end, we’re fielding a large number of questions around the formation of our Fall Travel teams so this web page is intended to provide guidance for parents of children interested in playing on a WMSC Travel Team this Fall, whether they have played for WMSC Travel before, or have never played on a WMSC Travel team.
We're very excited that your young players are interested in pursuing a more competitive and challenging soccer experience. Our travel program offers professional training, local practices, and competitions throughout Morris County as part of the Morris County Youth Soccer Association. Our Travel teams typically practice twice per week and have games on Sundays. A travel season consists of two 10-week seasons (Fall and Spring) with five home and five away games per season.
If you are new to the WMSC Travel program or have played WMSC Rec in the past.
In preparation for our Fall soccer season, please register your son or daughter for the age-appropriate Travel program. Currently, we are unable to facilitate a formal tryout due to restrictions on large gatherings and organized sports. Once we are cleared by the state and municipalities, we will look to schedule a series of live evaluations where our professional trainers and the WMSC board members can determine appropriate placement for each player.
If you have played for a WMSC Travel team in a prior season.
Due to restrictions on large gatherings and organized sports, WMSC has decided to offer every Travel player rostered on a Spring WMSC Travel team an opportunity to play Travel soccer again this Fall without a formal tryout. However, the new platform mandated by the State of NJ requires that all of our parents begin by registering their players for a tryout.
There is no need for you to submit tryout videos for placement on a Travel team at this time.
