FAQs ABOUT SPRING SOCCER
Start date: Monday May 3rd.

Kindergarten girls – Mondays and Thursdays 4:30 – 5:30
Kindergarten boys – Mondays and Thursdays 4:30 – 5:30
1st grade girls – Tuesdays and Fridays 4:30 – 5:30
1st grade boys – Tuesdays 5:40 – 6:40, Fridays 4:30-5:30
2nd grade girls – Tuesdays 4:30 – 5:30, Thursdays 5:40 – 6:40
2nd grade boys – Tuesdays 5:40 – 6:40, Thursdays 6:50 – 7:50
3rd grade girls – Mondays and Thursdays 5:40 – 6:40
3rd grade boys – Mondays 5:40 – 6:40, Thursdays 6:50 – 7:50
4/5th grade girls – Mondays 6:50 – 7:50, Fridays 5:40-6:40
4/5th grade boys - Mondays 6:50 – 7:50, Fridays 5:40-6:40
6th grade AND OLDER girls – Tuesdays and Fridays – 6:50 – 7:50

Location: Black River fields, front right lower.
Are there specific teams?
Yes and No. All children of the same age and gender are playing at the same time in the same group. Once your child arrives on the field, the coaches/trainers will assign your child to his or her team. Small-sided soccer allows us to modify the teams based on who shows up and ability to ensure fairness and quality play for all. Thus exact 3v3 or 4v4 teams may change on a game-by-game basis, but they are always playing with the same core group of kids.
My coach hasn’t emailed me yet.
Cheshire Soccer Club are both the trainers AND the coaches for Spring Soccer. You will not be receiving emails from other coaches (only from me). We are letting our highly qualified trainers run these games and program for us. There will also be trained high school assistants and parent volunteers present. Cheshire trainers will be in red and white, HS assistants in bright yellow.
Are there uniforms?
In an attempt to keep costs down, we opted to utilize pinnies for this first spring soccer season. Pinnies will be distributed to the players on the field. This also allows us to rotate players as needed to ensure balanced teams.
Are rosters available?
YES. On the website. Click on the “TEAM” horizontal tab and select “Choose a Team” or “Roster” whichever one you see on your screen. Under “Season” select SPRING 2010. Then for “League” select your child’s age group and gender, and for “Team” select your child’ age group and gender. Go back under TEAM, and select ROSTER if you didn’t choose “roster” the first time. Then you will need to use your email address and the password WMSC10 to log in. Sorry, if it’s a bit confusing….I’m not the one who sets the system up, simply the messenger in this case.
What if it rains?
Check the website for any weather-related cancellations.
What if my child can’t attend all sessions?
Not to worry. We designed the spring program with this very issue in mind. Simply have your child participate when they can.
