There is a core set of PFC values. These are expected to be adopted and practiced by every PFC team:
Communication
The season's goals should be made clear to everyone
The team's trainer should evaluate each player's strengths and weaknesses and communicate to both the player and his/her parents a personalized plan for development
Periodic feedback should be given to each player
Parents should be keyed into major team decisions
Parents and players should be informed of team goals and its progress toward those goals
Teamwork
Teams cannot progress unless each player is committed to personal skills development
A good team is one that becomes more than a sum of its parts
Team-based problem solving is key to mature play
Peer support and peer leadership (captains, etc.) are used extensively to build a stronger team
Professionalism
Training sessions should be planned in advance and have a defined goal.
The trainer and the players should be thoroughly prepared for each session.
Behavior on and off the field should be beyond reproach
Team administration should keep players and parents fully informed about practices, games and events
Character
Sportsmanship is very important to the team
The team should show respect for each other, opposing teams, and game officials
Coaches, trainers and parents are expected to be role models of good character
Balance
We expect a serious commitment to the team, but soccer comes after family, faith, school and community service
