WMSC has scheduled a Rutgers SAFETY Clinic for September 10, 2014 at the Garabrant Center from 630-930pm. In order to be a volunteer on the field helping children, the State of New Jersey requires you to take this course.
The state of New Jersey requires volunteer coaches to attend a "safety orientation and training skills program" in order to be eligible for civil immunity protection provided by the Little League Law (2A:62A-6 et. seq.) The curriculum for the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic is based upon the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52) and has been tested in court as having met the standards.
The topics include:
Legal Aspects of Coaching

Medical/First Aid Aspects of Coaching
If you have already taken the course, you should have a card. If you have not and are planning on being on the field to help with your child's team, you must take the course. If you would like to take the course on 9/10 please contact me asap to register.
